Student GOP leader has to resign over Obama big lip comment!

Written by admin on September 8, 2008 – 8:11 pm -

barack obama big earsThe leader of a statewide group of college Republicans has been forced to resign after posting racially insensitive comments about Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama on the Internet.

Adam LaDuca, 21, the former executive director of the Pennsylvania Federation of College Republicans, wrote on his Facebook page in late July that Obama has “a pair of lips so large he could float half of Cuba to the shores of Miami, and probably would.”

So, he was forced to resign for making a joke. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing funny about making fun of someones race, but I didn’t read anywhere in his comment making fun of Obama’s race. All this guy made fun of was Obama’s big lips. The people that found offence to the big lip Obama comment are the ones that are racist. It seems they associate big lips with the black race. All he said was that Obama has big lips.

Maybe he should have made fun of Obama’s big ears!!!!!

The worst MTV Music Video Awards 2008 EVER!

Written by admin on September 8, 2008 – 12:04 pm -

It took a year, but Britney Spears got the comeback she was seeking from the MTV Video Music Awards — and she didn’t even have to sing or dance.

Spears nabbed three VMAs, including video of the year, erasing last year’s career-low performance. Her first Moonman trophies came during a 25th anniversary show that otherwise lacked a defining moment, with most of the zaniness coming from host Russell Brand.

“Wow, thank you, I’m in shock right now. I was not expecting this,” Spears, looking spectacular in a shimmering silver dress, said as she accepted her third trophy of the evening for “Piece of Me.”
Spears kept all three of her acceptance speeches short.

“This is such an honor to have this award right now,” she said. “I want to thank my fans, this is dedicated to you.”

Ok, so when did the VMAs turn into the Britney Spears show? What is the big deal about her? Isn’t there any new talent out there that the kids want to listen to. I guess someone with big bucks has something invested in her that they could buy off the entire show and make it about her.

And what about that host, Rusell Brand? He was the worst host of the MTV music video awards ever. What has happened to MTV? The video music awards used to be something I couldn’t wait to watch, now I can’t even stand to watch five minutes of this crap.

Here is a little clip of when the VMA’s were good.

Lined up to see Rent for the last time?!

Written by admin on September 5, 2008 – 3:08 pm -

well, in case you havn’t heard “Rent” will be shutting down soon.

The award-winning 1996 musical chronicles the struggles of a group of young artists in New York and was groundbreaking in bringing topics such as AIDS into the mainstream.

Rent” was the first Broadway show to start the practice of selling same-day orchestra seats for $20 in a lottery that allowed die-hard fans, dubbed “Rentheads” in the theater world, to come back again and again.

Set in New York’s East Village in the late 1980s and conceived as a modern-day version of Giacomo Puccini’s opera “La Boheme,” “Rent” is a story about relationships between friends living a bohemian life under the shadow of AIDS.

I know you all must be crying about this. So just in case you never saw it. Here is this little song to let you know what it is all about….Enjoy!

Congressman Ron Paul steals McCain’s Thunder!

Written by admin on September 4, 2008 – 6:32 pm -

Ron Paul MinneapolisTexas Congressman Ron Paul may not be the next US President. But the fiery Republican, who failed to win the party’s nomination this year, is still hugely popular with grass-roots supporters. He staged a rally in Minneapolis as an alternative to John McCain’s Republican Convention in nearby St Paul, stealing much of the limelight from the party’s official presidential candidate.

More violence erupted on the streets of St Paul, where thousands continued protesting outside the Republican National Convention. Officials say some tried to get past security fences at the Xcel Center where the convention is under way. A beefed-up security force handcuffed civilians and journalists as hysteria filled the crowd.

Meanwhile, across the river in Minneapolis, screams of excitement filled the air. Ron Paul greeted a sea of supporters with a rock star entrance. The former Republican Presidential candidate wasn’t invited to speak at his own party’s rally, so instead organised his own, stealing some of the spotlight.

The Texas Congressman’s limited government, anti-tax and anti-war views have generated a loyal following among voters nationwide.

“We have a vision of what this country should be and we’re going to move forward with it no matter what happens in the presidential elections,” a female supporter said.

Many say the forthcoming election offers no choice.

Yeah well here is a hint for you. “YOU DON’T HAVE A CHOICE!”, ‘YOU DON’T PICK THE PRESIDENT IN THIS COUNTRY, HE IS SELECTED FOR YOU.”
You actually think your opinion on who should run for president counts? It doesn’t matter who you pick from the two, they won’t do what you want anyway.

It’s funny how Ron Paul has such a huge following and you never even heard about him on the nightly news. If you watch this video you will see how huge the crowd was. There were more people there for Ron Paul than there were at the actual Republican convention.

Oh, and I had to go to a foreign news source for this video report. Of course the us media wouldn’t cover Ron Paul. He doesn’t fit into the main stream game plan.

Wath the Ron Paul convention video here>
