The current Republican Vice Presidential nominee seems to have some not so common ancestors.
Sarah Palin is linked in her lineage to former US President Franklin D Roosevelt and also has a connection with Diana, Princess of Wales.
Mr Roosevelt, the Depression-era Democratic president, is a distant cousin of Mrs Palin, the Republican vice-presidential nominee, who is also a tenth cousin of the former royal, Diana, Princess of Wales.

Virtually unknown just a week ago outside Alaska, Governor Sarah Palin is set to make history tonight as she accepts the Republican vice presidential nomination on day three of the GOP Convention in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
Palin, 44, appeared at the Xcel Energy Center this morning for a walk-thru of the site ahead of her highly-anticipated speech before delegates and the nation.
The governor was thrust into the spotlight just days ago as the first woman ever on a Republican presidential ticket. But, she’s given critics plenty to work with and has been besieged by questions about her experience and family life.
I don’t know about you but she has got to be the sexiest Vice President any country has ever had. I am sure that this pick was made to draw all the Hillary supporters into the Republican fold and I am sure all the men will be voting for her also, just to be able to her instead of some crusty old man every day on the boob tube. No pun intended.
I can almost guarantee that Bill Clinton will be secretly voting for her. Could you imagine what Bill Clinton would have done to have this sexy babe in his office behind closed doors every day. Wa Wa Wee Wa!!!!!
